David played in the the Omega Dubai Desert Classic  at the Emirates Golf Club where the windy conditions on day one made scoring difficult.  David shot 76 in the first round and followed up with a 73 in round two leaving him on a five over par total of 149, therefore missing the halfway cut which fell at two over par.

The event was won by Miguel Angel Jimenez who overcame Lee Westwood in a three hole play-off after both players completed regulation play at eleven under par.

David now travels to India for the Avantha Masters which begins in Delhi on Thursday 11th February.
